I like Uraid so far as it has just been installed and I am yet to do much with it except for jellyfin and qbittorrrent. I am learning about Atomic-Moves, Hardlinks & Media Automation via TRaSH. Sleeping and WOL using Dynamix. The main reason there is no Pi 5 here is being in the process of shifting houses combined with the fact that not anybody gifted me one.Yeah, I know but I've just built a full size 6 HD NAS with Unraid from bare bones and am learning that so maybe once I am happy with that I could consider.4. Bookworm will be upgraded to Trixie
5. Could wait for Pi6?
With reasons like those you may wait forever as the next versions after them will be in the pipeline by then....
Real life is so demanding at the moment lol.
I will visit the small library near me and maybe glean some tips from there
How do you like unraid?
For the future I've been trying to decide between a Raspberry Pi NAS and a Pi-based Ceph cluster.
I think the storage cluster is similar to how unraid works. Given the learning curve, I'd likely have better results just storing a copy on another NAS.
So, it is very early days for me but I thinkl the £50 (£1 a week lol) is going to be well worth it. I'm using the freebie atm.
I did the house move 18 months ago but still not sorted the gardens or the house itself.
I have had a Pi4 with two SSD as a torrent client and backup via cron jobs for a while now.
