The CFE will always unpack the raw images to 16bpp (or a compressed version). If you ignore libcamera and the CFE, then the CSI2 peripheral can write out the raw data, but won't unpack the MIPI packing (4 pixels in 5 bytes for raw10, 2 pixels in 3 bytes for raw12, etc).
But why are you worrying about the raw images there anyway? Just take YUV420 from the output, and ignore the chroma planes. That'll be 8bpp anyway.
