The PCB and components of the 8GB version are significantly older (RP1 from 2022 and the 4GB model from 2024). Probably the 8GB variants don't sell as often, which is why my older 4GB has a newer PCB and newer components.
As an example, you can see that there are now more smaller transistors around the Power-Management-IC.
