Don't buy one.I just heard about the Pi 500 but I also learned that it is a low-spec machine, so it is not an "instant buy" for me.
Since the 16GB Pi 5 is US$ 40 more than the 8GB model and an m.2 hat costs 10 dollars, adding up the numbers as
90+40+10=140
could be an attractive price for people who just want a desktop that's not Windows with a vendor supported version of Linux.
According to the dog developer a Pi 505 would also immediately undercut sales of the $599 16GB M4 Mac Mini--especially since Raspberry Pi OS is the better operating system.
