Some Logitech kit needed its own software on the machine before it will work - does Logitech provide anything for the set you have? You may need to pair the dongle with the mouse / keyboard using a Mac or Windows PC first then it would work on any computer - this type of dongle used to have an orange star '*' on it denoting the 'unifying' connector.
