i didn't like how the active cooler works.
i swapped it out for a argon mini fan with the heat sink removed, it just blows on a bare board.
it's a simple on or off, have it set to turn on at 50' and off at 40' (dtoverlay=gpio-fan,gpiopin=18,temp=50000)
it's on when i'm using the rpi5 and off at idle.
i'm always under 60', mostly in the 40's for normal use. cool down is fast.
