Thank you for that, I didn't know I have to enable this!Then add the line...Code:
sudo rpi-eeprom-config --edit
Code:
PSU_MAX_CURRENT=5000
This will make the Pi5 assume that the PSU is capable of delivering the full 5 Amps if/when needed.
So that for the software side of things, for the hardware, with this GPIO layout

A molex cable has red (+5V), yellow(+12V) and black wires(GND).
So, I basically would soldier two wires from molex red, to GPIO pins 2 & 4.
And then also 2 wires for the GND, so for example Pins 30 and 34.
I'm thinking 2 cables instead of 1 is better, since the cables coming out from the PSU to the molex ports are generally thicker than the average cables I have here that I would put into the GPIO ports for running some LEDs, Beepers and such.
Also, there seem to be molex - usb adapters available, like this one https://www.amazon.de/winwill®-Schwarz- ... B06XBMPW2G , I could put that into the usb power of the RPI too, no?
