Well, I have seen it, but what I haven't seen is the output of:
Samba will only share (it doesn't 'export') something it knows about, so just creating a directory and then a file in that directory, will not result in Samba sharing said directory.

The OP is also using 'nmbd', there is no point in this nowadays, Samba doesn't use NetBIOS anymore.
